Gold Cross Ambulance Founder and Chairman R. Gene Moffitt received a Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Service in Emergency Medical Services from JEMS, the Journal of Emergency Medical Services. Gene received the award at the opening ceremony of the EMS Today Conference in Salt Lake City on February 23, 2017.

According to A.J. Heightman, Editor-in-Chief of JEMS, “The Lifetime Achievement Award honors an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the advancement of EMS over the course of a career. Gene’s devotion to excellence and dedication to the people he serves have made him a legend among emergency responders for five decades.”
